The high-scoring Nuggets travel to face the struggling Phoenix Suns.
The Denver Nuggets (20-25) beat the Phoenix Suns at home Thursday night 127-120. Behind a big offensive performance from Nikola Jokic, the Nuggets extended their winning streak to 2 games. Looking forward to tonight’s matchup the Nuggets travel to face the Suns, a team they have beaten in all 3 games that they have played so far this season. In all three games against the Suns, the Nuggets have scored over 120 points, which is not surprising as the Nuggets are one of the best scoring teams in the NBA. However, for tonight’s matchup, the Nuggets will be without their third-leading scorer Nikola Jokic who suffered a hip injury against the Suns on Thursday. Without Jokic in the lineup, the Nuggets are 1-3 this season. With Jokic hurt look for backup center Jusuf Nurkic to fill in as the starting center against the Suns.

The Phoenix Suns (15-31) lost to the Denver Nuggets on the road Thursday night 127-120. Currently on a two-game losing streak, the Suns look to bounce back as they host the Nuggets at home. The Suns in their previous three meetings with the Nuggets this year have struggled defensively to contain the Nuggets high scoring offense. However with Nuggets center Nikola Jokic out with a hip injury the Suns should like their chances at beating Denver at home tonight. One player who has played well against the Nuggets this season is Suns guard Devin Booker who averages 26 points per game against them. Along with Booker, point guard Eric Bledsoe is looking forward to tonight’s game as he had 28 points last time the Suns played the Nuggets on Thursday.

Keys to the Game
Denver Nuggets

The Nuggets must play their usual aggressive, fast pace offense if they expect to beat the Suns for a fourth time this season. The Suns have struggled on defense all year long and let up 118.8 points per game. If the Nuggets can get going early on offense they should have no trouble beating the Suns.

Phoenix Suns

The Suns must play aggressive team defense if they expect to beat the Nuggets. Phoenix is a great offensive team as they average 106.5 points per game, however, they struggle on the defensive side of the ball. If Phoenix expects to beat Denver this time around they must play better team defense because if they don’t this game could get ugly early.
