Bacary Sagna denies Want to Leave Manchester City - Bacary Sagna claimed did not think to leave Manchester City after only act as a player coatings in the right back position.
Brought in from Arsenal in the summer of 2014, Sagna was assigned to be a deputy for Pablo Zabaleta so he only played a total of 17 parties in all competitions last season.
In this season, the situation was little changed after Zabaleta suffered a knee injury allowing Sagna to perform regularly with the City. However, even Zabaleta fit, Sagna insists that he would prefer to compete to secure a regular place rather than leave the Etihad.
"I never thought to go because I am present here to undergo a challenge," said Sagna told the Manchester Evening News, Wednesday (23/9). "Everyone knows Pablo is a top right back, so I had to continue to fight even harder."
"Nobody understands why I left Arsenal. I've been there for seven years and I need a change. I love a challenge, so when it is the right time to change clubs, "he added.
