Man Utd defender Rojo posts picture after shoulder surgery -  Manchester United defender Marcus Rojo has undergone surgery on his shoulder, in a fresh blow to beleaguered Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal.

Last week, the Dutch coach confirmed Rojo, 25, would be out for 'weeks' and may need surgery after suffering a shoulder injury in training.

And Rojo took to Instagram to post a picture of him recovering in hospital on Wednesday, accompanied by the caption: "My operation was a success. Thank you to my beautiful wife, always with me. Thank you everyone for your messages of love and support."

Rojo suffered a discolated shoulder in the derby against Manchester City in November last year and did not require surgery, but the recurrence of the injury has prompted the club to take action.

While it is unclear how long Rojo will be out for, his surgery is a huge blow for Van Gaal, who is already without England left back Luke Shaw.
