Wenger: It's more difficult to prepare for Hull than Barcelona - The Arsenal manager has hinted that his players found it more difficult to ready themselves for Saturday's FA Cup clash than they have for the visit of the European champions.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has suggested that his squad found it more difficult to prepare for Saturday's FA Cup clash with Hull City than they have for Tuesday's Champions League last-16 tie with Barcelona.

The Gunners warmed up for their first leg with Luis Enrique's European champions with a 0-0 draw against Hull in their fifth-round clash at the weekend.

And Wenger revealed that his players are naturally focused ahead of the Blaugrana's visit to the Emirates Stadium, making the job of motivating them a lot easier.

Speaking at a media conference ahead of the match, Wenger said: "It’s more difficult to prepare against Hull than Barcelona.

"Against Barcelona, everyone is focussed naturally so it’s more about creating belief and confidence because Barcelona are super favourites for this game.

"For Hull it’s about raising the urgency level. Tomorrow everyone is convinced that we have to be totally focussed to have a chance. I try to raise that belief and confidence - let’s go for it."
