Leipzig just keep going from strength to strength. Ralph Hasenhüttl's side eased past SC Freiburg last time out to make it seven straight Bundesliga wins, and remain three points clear of champions FC Bayern München at the top. In their last five outings, the promoted side have scored an average of three goals per game, seeing off SV Werder Bremen, SV Darmstadt 98, 1. FSV Mainz 05, Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Freiburg. Nevertheless, Schalke should provide an interesting test for the leaders – following a nightmare start to the campaign, the Royal Blues have gone seven games unbeaten in the Bundesliga, winning their last five in all competitions.
