Radamel Falcao has revealed that he rejected two offers from Chinese clubs in the winter window in order to remain at Chelsea.
The former Manchester United loanee has struggled for playing time at Stamford Bridge, with a lack of form and fitness seeing him start only one game in the Premier League this season.
The Colombia international was linked with a move away from west London in January and has now disclosed that he had the chance to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Jackson Martinez, Ramires and Alex Teixeira by moving to the Far East.
"It is true that I had two different offers to move to China, but I stayed in England to give myself another opportunity," Falcao told El Tiempo. "Going there would have been the easiest way out because it was a great offer, but I preferred to stay here and fight [for a place]."
Chelsea have until the end of next month to decide whether they wish to make Falcao's loan move from Monaco permanent for an agreed fee of £38 million.
And the 30-year-old insists he is not yet thinking about the future while the season is still going on.
"I am focused on the club and just live in the present," Falcao added. "Football changes very fast and what today can't happen, tomorrow can.
"I'm not thinking about what might happen on April 29. My job is to give my best and when the time comes to make decisions, we will analyse everything and see, because everything can change in football.
"Today I think about what Chelsea can do from now to May. I do not look beyond that. Me staying here will depend on many factors, it doesn't depend just on my decision.
"That's why I try to give my best in training to have a chance [to play], but this will be discussed when we need to make a final decision."
Chelsea take on West Ham United in the Premier League on Saturday, but Falcao remains sidelined with a thigh injury.
