Alvaro Arbeloa: Rafael Benitez Will Succeed At Real Madrid

Alvaro Arbeloa, Real Madrid right-back, believes Rafael Benitez would succeed in Spain.

The 55-year-old coach replaces Carlo Ancelotti sacked by Florentino Perez as Los Blancos did not win a trophy last season.

Benitez still has not shown consistency in Real, but Arbeloa - who has worked with Benitez at Liverpool - believes the coach will develop.

"When his arrival began to unfold, everyone began to ask me about Benitez," said Arbeloa on the club's official website. "Rafa is a coach who is very methodical, hardworking, demanding, and I can confirm that we are all going to become a better player."

Real, who were held 0-0 by Sporting Gijon in La Liga before the opening match 5-0 win over Real Betis, Espanyol will face tomorrow Saturday (12/9). Los Blancos have not won La Liga since the 2011/12 season.
