Juventus transfer summary: Gundogan a summer target as Bianconeri look to future - As the winter transfer window ended on Monday, Juventus decided to keep faith with what they have got.

Ever since Max Allegri decided to return to the 3-5-2 formation that brought Antonio Conte so much success, Juve have found the right balance to mount a charge for what would be a fifth successive Serie A title.

Therefore, there have been no major repairs to the squad with the only business of note being 18-year-old Rolando Mandragora arriving from Genoa but loaned to Pescara until the end of the season.

Andrea Ganz could be a target in a few months, so too Santarcangelo's Francesco Margiotta and Lecce's Matthew Liviero. Pescara blocked January switches for Gianluca Lapadula and Gianluca Caprari, but Juve could return for them in the summer.

Elsewhere, Sassuolo trio Stefano Sensi, Marcello Trotta and Rogerio have caught the eye, with the Old Lady again waiting until June to make their move.

Juventus are keen to act in a decisive manner in the summer. They previously tried for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan, but could not get their hands on him, and the club are likely to attempt to persuade the Germany international to head to Turin in the summer.

Martin Caceres, meanwhile, did not get a transfer away from the Juventus Stadium. Out of contract in the summer, the Uruguayan could now extend his deal in the coming days, with dialogue between chief executive Beppe Morotta and the player's agent, Daniel Fonseca, now under way.

Juventus will not want to let a defender of considerable calibre leave, with Allegri set to play a key role in the discussions.
