Ducati boss Gigi Dall'Igna said that he could prepare a motor manufacturer for Stoner if he wants to race start the series premiere later in Qatar.
Coupled with all the top riders who had to compete with Stoner welcomed the good news.
"People talk too much. They say that I'm still fast and competitive to re-join the race. In fact, I myself decided to retire because I was no longer competitive with the current MotoGP," said Stoner told Autosport.
"If I returned to the show as a racer, I probably would not last longer than five or six laps. Because I do not fit anymore," he added.
Stoner currently only accept the offer as well as Brand Ambassador Test Rider Ducati and not as their drivers.
