The sound of F1 2016 – hear the cars firing up - Mercedes has become the latest team to release a teaser of its latest power unit ahead of the 2016 Formula 1 World Championship after Honda and Ferrari produced something similar over the weekend

With less than a week to go before the season kicks off once more, teams are putting the final touches to their cars ahead of the first pre-season test at the Circuit de Catalunya.

In preparation, Ferrari gave an audible hint at the start of the weekend, before Honda followed suit. Now Mercedes have done the same with a video of the latest specification engine – which has dominated for the past two seasons – 'clearing its pipes'. Indeed, if you look closely, you will see two wastegate pipes…
